Tinsel Time Collection - Spellbinders

Hello, crafty friends!  I have made 3 Christmas cards using products from the new Tinsel Time Collection

My first card features the Holiday Express cutting dies. I cut the dies in a variety of colored cardstock from Spellbinders. I had so much fun putting this train together. The sentiment is gold heat embossed on a strip of white cardstock. It is from the Dancin’ Holiday Sentiments. For the card panel, I cut down a patterned paper from the Joyful Christmas Paper Pad to 3” x 6”. I then layered it with the Wild Berry cardstockbefore adhering it to a 3.25” x 6.25” card base.
The second card features the Dancin’ St. Nick cutting dies. I used all colored cardstocks from Spellbinders, except for the gold cardstock which is from the big box craft store. I love that Santa’s legs swing back and forth. This is optional, but it is more fun to have swinging legs and it is also easy to achieve. Simply cut down a small foam tape to fit inside the circle. The sentiment is from the Tinsel Time cutting dies. Once again, I used a patterned paper from the Joyful Christmas Paper Pad for the background panel. I cut it down to 4” x 5.25” and ran it through the die cut machine using the Fluted Classics Rectangles. I then cut an A2 panel in Blue Spruce and adhered the 2 panels together. Lastly, I glued the panel on a card base.

My last card features the Dancin’ Snowman. I once again used colored cardstocks from Spellbinders. The colored cardstocks are 100 lb heavy weight and perfect for paper piecing. Just like the previous card, Dancin’ Snowman has swinging legs and the arms also have the same kinetic feature. However, I only made the legs swing back and forth. The sentiment is from the Lots of Wishing You Sentiments. I gold heat embossed the stamps on white cardstock. I then cut a panel from the Joyful Christmas Paper Pad and layered it with pink cardstock before adhering it on an A2 size card base.

That's all for today! I hope that you like my Christmas cards and that I've inspired you to start making Christmas cards for your friends and family!

Pretty Pink Posh February 2023 Release Blog Hop

Hello friends! Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh February 2023 Release Blog Hop and happy  9th birthday, PPP!  Today, I’m sharing a birthday card and a gift card holder that I made using dies and stencils from the new Birthday Release.  For my card, I started with an A2-sized white cardstock that I ink blended with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink. I sprayed some water for an oxidized effect and also splattered some white ink on it. I then took a scrap of white cardstock and used finger daubers to ink blend Distress Oxide Inks in rainbow colors. I used Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Lucky Clover, Salty Ocean, and Wilted Violet. I sprayed water, splattered white ink, and cut the rainbow colored panel with the WISH die. I also cut the flame from the Birthday Mug Addition Dies and ink blended it with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink.  Next, I stamped the sentiments with black ink then foam mounted WISH and the flame on the card panel. I also added some pearls for inter

Pretty Pink Posh March 2023 Release Blog Hop

Hello friends! Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh February 2023 Release Blog Hop! For my card, I started with a 4.5” square white cardstock and I ink blended through the Layered Carrots Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks.  Layer A: Dried Marigold Layer B: Spiced Marmalade Layer C: Twisted Citron I then matted this stenciled panel on a 5” square cardstock that I ink blended with Spiced Marmalade. For added interest, I sprayed this larger panel with water that has a bit of white ink.  Next, I cut the dies from the Winter Mug Dies and the new Easter Mug Additions Dies in white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers and Distress Oxide Inks. The blue bunny mug also got a print from the Mini Grid Stencil . Before foam mounting the mug, I placed a sheet of vellum to soften the carrot background and I also stamped the sentiment onto the vellum with Stazon ink.  Here are the Copic markers I used for the mini eggs: BG70, R00, V000, Y11, YG61, YR000 I embellished the card with Pi
