Pretty Pink Posh May 2023 Release Blog Hop

Hey there, crafty friends! Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh May 2023 Release Blog Hop!

I'm so excited to share with you my latest handmade card creation using Pretty Pink Posh Decorative Birdhouses and Stitched Birds dies. It's such a fun and easy project to make, and I hope it inspires you to get creative and make your own beautiful cards.

I started with a 4.5 inch square card base in white cardstock, and to add some pattern, I used the Swiss Dots Stencil with Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide Ink. To save some paper and time, I inked directly on the card base while keeping it folded to prevent any ink or paint from getting onto the back of the card. I then added splatters of white ink for added interest.

Next, I cut out the birdhouse and stitched birds in various colors of cardstock and pieced them together. I love how these dies are so beautiful and versatile, and you can use different colors of cardstock to customize the birdhouse and birds. To make it even more fun, I turned the birdhouse into a shaker element by cutting a heart window in the center and using the Rainbow Shimmer to fill the shaker. I'm obsessed with the different colors of the shaker bits, and they add such a playful and whimsical touch to the card.

To make the birdhouse stand out, I foam mounted it onto the card base, and I also made a stand for the birdhouse by cutting a strip of kraft cardstock and gluing it onto the back of the birdhouse. This adds some dimension to the card and makes it look more like a three-dimensional birdhouse.

For the sentiment, I chose "You make my heart sing" from the Just A Note Stamp Set and white heat embossed it on a strip of black cardstock. I think it's such a sweet and fitting sentiment for this card, and it adds a personal touch to the project.

I hope this post has inspired you to get creative and make your own handmade cards. Happy crafting, friends!

3D Paper Christmas Trees - Pretty Pink Posh

Hello and welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh October Release Blog Hop!!! Hello crafty friends! I have made the cutest 3D paper Christmas trees using the Pine Trees dies and I'm very excited to share some tips and tricks for making these trees. The Pine Trees include 3 different sizes and I was able to cut 4 of each from an 8.5" x 11" cardstock. The work is tedious, but the end result makes it all worthwhile. Just enjoy the process ;) Once all the pieces are cut, simply score in half and glue one side to the other. The more trees you add, the fluffier it gets. Here is my first tip: use a binder clip to keep the trees in place while the glue dries. I used 10 trees each for these pink ones: I cut some snowflakes from the Winter Mug dies and used them as tree toppers. How about some pretty, pink, posh ghosts? (You like what I did there? Hehe) The ghost die cut is also included in the Winter Mug dies. You can add a little bit of glue or just tuck it in-between the pages of the

Pretty Pink Posh February 2023 Release Blog Hop

Hello friends! Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh February 2023 Release Blog Hop and happy  9th birthday, PPP!  Today, I’m sharing a birthday card and a gift card holder that I made using dies and stencils from the new Birthday Release.  For my card, I started with an A2-sized white cardstock that I ink blended with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide Ink. I sprayed some water for an oxidized effect and also splattered some white ink on it. I then took a scrap of white cardstock and used finger daubers to ink blend Distress Oxide Inks in rainbow colors. I used Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Lucky Clover, Salty Ocean, and Wilted Violet. I sprayed water, splattered white ink, and cut the rainbow colored panel with the WISH die. I also cut the flame from the Birthday Mug Addition Dies and ink blended it with Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink.  Next, I stamped the sentiments with black ink then foam mounted WISH and the flame on the card panel. I also added some pearls for inter

Pretty Pink Posh March 2023 Release Blog Hop

Hello friends! Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh February 2023 Release Blog Hop! For my card, I started with a 4.5” square white cardstock and I ink blended through the Layered Carrots Stencil with Distress Oxide Inks.  Layer A: Dried Marigold Layer B: Spiced Marmalade Layer C: Twisted Citron I then matted this stenciled panel on a 5” square cardstock that I ink blended with Spiced Marmalade. For added interest, I sprayed this larger panel with water that has a bit of white ink.  Next, I cut the dies from the Winter Mug Dies and the new Easter Mug Additions Dies in white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers and Distress Oxide Inks. The blue bunny mug also got a print from the Mini Grid Stencil . Before foam mounting the mug, I placed a sheet of vellum to soften the carrot background and I also stamped the sentiment onto the vellum with Stazon ink.  Here are the Copic markers I used for the mini eggs: BG70, R00, V000, Y11, YG61, YR000 I embellished the card with Pi
